Scott serves as Rival’s Senior Corporate Counsel, where he manages merger and acquisition activities, and provides governance and legal support for the company’s investment lanes.
Prior to Rival, Scott helped guide Ambassador Enterprises’ growth as Corporate Counsel from March 2021 to August 2023. Before joining Ambassador Enterprises, Scott worked at Barrett McNagny, LLP as an associate in their business practice group. He counseled clients on tax, formation, corporate governance, contract, and securities issues. Throughout his years there, Scott gradually focused his practice on mergers and acquisitions, assisting in numerous acquisitions ranging in value from a couple million dollars to hundreds of millions of dollars. He also led privately held family companies to publicly traded Fortune 500 companies.
A Fort Wayne native, Scott graduated from Wabash College in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Classics, later earning his JD from the University of Notre Dame Law School in 2017. He was named a Best Lawyers in America – Ones to Watch in 2021.
Scott is a long-serving volunteer and board member for YMCA-affiliated Camp Potawotami, where he thrives in assisting the camp staff in increasing campers’ sense of accomplishment, belonging, and character while advocating the core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. He has led the Board as the Chair of Annual Campaign, the Camp’s primary annual fundraiser providing financial aid to campers since January 2017.
Scott and his wife Tess were married on July 23, 2022, and they continually celebrate experiencing life with their daughter Skylar. Scott enjoys hunting (and the great outdoors, generally speaking), sports, traveling, reading, and cooking.
